Running enthusiasts know that it’s hard not to run for a week, even on vacation. Even if we take it easy during the summer, we’re always happy to have a running course close to where we’re staying.

One stride from campingLa Pinède Saint-Jaumes, green lung of Lézignan-Corbières, offers a beautiful outing on the trail of the capitelles and springs hidden in the forest, alternating clearings under the pines, areas of garrigue and magnificent views of the Corbières and the Minervois. And to top it all off, there’s a health trail where you can complete your jogging with a few physical exercises on sports workshops (traction, abs, balance).

  • A 12 km (250 m D+) or 24 km (650 m D+) loop circuit, as well as a permanent orienteering course (PPO) with 50 wooden markers in the forest.

The Minerve trail: breathtaking scenery!

Are you a nature lover and runner looking for a trail that’s not too difficult or too far from the campsite? Head for the Cathar town of Minerve, 25 km from the campsite. Park in the main parking lot, the starting point of a magnificent 10 km trail, half-trail, half-nature race.

A signposted itinerary leads you to discover the historic capital of the Minervois region and the most beautiful natural and cultural sites in the area. Haut-Languedoc. You’ll follow steep but still passable trails, alternating between ascents and descents in canyons, natural bridges, vineyards and garrigues, culminating in the Gorges de la Cesse and Brian !

Sporting challenge: the Lagrasse Abbey Trail

Attention runners looking for a vacation challenge! Take advantage of your camping holiday to take part in the Trail de l’Abbaye de Lagrasse, held every year in June. A sporting adventure, but also a touristic one, which allows you to discover some of the most emblematic places in the Cathar region.

The start of this Trail “XS” is at Place de la Halle, the historic heart of the listed listed village of Lagrasse . You’ll pass through the medieval village and its cobbled streets before entering the Corbières, with a triumphant arrival in the main courtyard of Lagrasse Abbey.

  • Four races of varying difficulty: the Charlemagne (15 km, 440 m D+), the Petite Corbières (4.5 km, 200 m D+) and the Nordic Walking (8 km, 250 m D+), a discovery course for children aged 7 to 10 (approx. 1 km).
