The pleasure of discovering Languedoc-Roussillon in the off-season!

Camping in the Aude in the off-season means you can enjoy visit the Cathar castles and the hikes that go with them, in ideal weather conditions. Winter is already far away, and summer is getting closer by the day, so you’ll benefit from more than pleasant weather to discover the Aude’s sumptuous landscapes and numerous relics at your own pace. Walking or cycling along the Canal Canal du Midi or in the surrounding area, between pine forest and garrigue, become a real pleasure! So, if you’re on vacation in the Aude over the Pentecost weekend, you can join in with friendly hikes adapted to all levels thanks to the FestiRando event from June 8 to 10. For example, you can get to know the Montagne Noire better by setting off from Caunes-Minervois, a charming village just 30 km from the campsite. The historic towns of Narbonne and Carcassonne, not far from the campsite, are also well worth a visit. You’ll be able to stroll through the fortified city in a timeless, yet quieter atmosphere, as most tourists arrive in July and August. And if you’re a fan of Médoc gastronomy, don’t miss the very first Fête du vin rosé et des fromages, on June 22 in Carcassonne!

The National Amateur Theatre Festival in Narbonne – June 27 to July 6

It’s easy to get away from it all when you’re on vacation in Occitanie, thanks to the richness of the Aude department, a territory where the possibilities for outdoor activities are endless. But what about a moment of escape by attending an open-air an open-air play at Narbonne’s Palais des Archevêques? Often comic, sometimes dramatic, the shows are free of charge, and a convivial meeting with the actors and directors should round off an evening rich in emotion.

Heritage and Culture Festival in Lézignan-Corbières – July 3 to 8 at Château de Gaujac

Intimate concerts and encounters with renowned artists: that’s what the Festival Patrimoine et Culture (Heritage and Culture Festival), organized by the Lézignan-Corbières commune, is all about. This year’s line-up includes Natasha St Pier on July 3, Pascal Danel, the famous interpreter of “Kilimandjaro”, on July 4, and Salvatore Adamo on July 5. The Festival even offers a date in June (on the 21st, Fête la Musique) in the Domaines at the Château du Grand Moulin for the Échappée Brel musical show.
